About Hola Luna Journal
When I started moon journaling, I felt that I had encountered a true and trusted friend. A friend never interrupting, never judging, always listening. I hope you will feel the same way when connecting with the moon through your journal. From the moment you start to use the journal, your moon journey begins and your life may start to change. Wait and see.
The journal is based on the energy of the different moon phases and consists of 12 moon cycles of 29,5 days. We start a new cycle on the day of the new moon, where we set the intentions that we would like to manifest in the coming cycle. The new moon is where you plant the seeds for your dreams.
Once the intentions are set, there will be daily journal pages, where you can write down whatever comes to mind. Some will use the journal as a diary, some as a to-do list, some may write keywords or make a drawing. The only thing that matters, is that it matters to you.
Halfway through the cycle, we reach the energetic peak – the full moon. In the journal, there are two pages for every full moon. This is to create space for all your thoughts and ideas. But the full moon is also the time to release what no longer serves you. In the journal, there is a specific section on the full moon pages for releasing the old to create space for the new. During the full moon, you also follow up on the seeds you planted for your dreams during the new moon. Are you on the right path with your intentions?
On each page of the journal, there is a place where you can track your energy flow. This is for you to get familiar with the way the moon phases affect your energy. By tracking your energy flow, you might start to see a pattern and when you know when your energy is high or low, it makes it easier for you to plan when to be creative, when to rest and when to be social.
Last but not least there is a question on each page for you to reflect upon and answer. This is for you to get in the habit of focusing on all the positive things in life and what to be grateful for. Reflecting on the great things in life can become a habit if we nurture it. I wish you all the best with your moon journal. Love Stine
About the Moon
The moon has fascinated humans for centuries and we find examples of devotion to the moon in almost every ancient culture. The moon appears in cave paintings and has also played a role in the arts for centuries. Artists, painters, poets and composers have expressed their love and fascination for her and you can find her in many songs. My own fascination and interest in the moon have developed over time, and today I consider her a trusted friend and guide. There is something mystical yet funny about the moon. She rotates anticlockwise and with our time obsession here on Earth, I find it rather funny that she is like "nahh I'll do it my way". I also find it interesting how we never get to see her “dark side” because the moon rotates on her axis at the same rate that she orbits the Earth, leaving one of her sides hidden from us. It is as if she is watching us all the time, but we only get to see half of her.
Not to mention how she by gravity is turning the tides, causing seas to rise and fall. Imagine the power it must take set oceans in motion. The moon has no real soil but is covered in a dusty powder. There are no sounds on the moon and no wind and to me, the combination of her dusty surface and the fact that she is covered in silence, give her a lonesomeness that I often long for on this busy planet called Earth. So, to me she is special. I say hi to her every time I see her, and she responds by affecting my mind and mood and lighting up my way in the dark…. when it suits her.
